圣天使堡(St Angelo Castel) 又称哈德里安帝陵 (Mausoleum of Hadrian), 是一圆柱型的雄伟建筑,为罗马皇帝Hadrian建于135-139AD.他和以后多位罗马皇帝葬与此.曾改建为军事要塞,墓葬多遭破坏. 十四世纪教皇将陵园改为城堡和战时避难所,从梵帝冈有暗道通此.内有寝宫和教堂.也曾是教廷监狱.布鲁诺曾禁于此达六年,并被处决. 相传591年大天使迈克尔(Archangel St Michael) 降临陵上,终止了罗马瘟疫流行.故该帝陵又名圣天使堡.现在是博物馆. 现城堡顶上所立青铜大天使迈克尔像为Peter Anton von Verschaffelt 于1753所塑. St Michael双翅高展,左手持鞘,右手抽剑高举,好不英武! (Search Google for more information)

 The description of St. Michael stature was based on what I saw through a binocular. It's hard to see the details from the picture. You can go to Google Image to see this very nice stature. |

壮观的建筑，如果没有下部分树木的阴影就完美了。上边和右边的空片可以再裁剪一些，突出建筑物的宏伟。拙见！ 皋岚 的回复 2007-03-10 02:34 Thanks for comments. I love the blue sky that I rarely see in any China cities now. That's true it would be much better if there is no tree shadows on the building. But it was six o'clock when I was there and I did not have time to come here again. That's the problem of travel photography. Thanks again.
